Comparisons

The two skate brands that I usually recommend to people are CCM and Bauer. I think that they both make great Skates, but they definitely have different feels to them. The Bauer X-LS Ice Hockey Skates feel much more like traditional hockey Skates, while the CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro Skates have a bit more of a speed/recreational feel to them. The Bauer X-LS Ice Hockey Skates have a really stiff boot, which is great for players who need lots of support and want to be able to make quick cuts on the ice. The CCM Jetspeed FT4 Pro Skates have a bit more give to them, which makes them more comfortable for longer periods of time
