Super comfy and durable
My 7yo use to wear the 1S but as he moved to juniors the waist was too fitted so he went with the nexus which still has the draw string. Not a fitted feel and far more flexible if your kid likes that. We love it.

I bought these for my son and he loves them, easy to use easy to tighten comfortable.
Great protection but bulky.
Bought these pants for my son who is starting high school hockey. Thought added protection was a good idea since he will now be playing against much bigger kids. Pants took some getting used to over his Bauer 800 pants he was used to. He said felt like extra protection really limited his movement. This has improved since first wearing though
