I was left with the impression that someone just tossed it in a cardboard box and hoped for the best, which is likely how the staining occurred. This left me under the impression that I should wash before wearing. The stain is only mildly noticeable now. This hoodie is extremely comfortable. I am 5'10" 160lbs. I purchased a large because I wanted it a bit roomy and fit is right on. A medium would fit but would have been more form fitting.
