Bauer Re-Akt 200 Hockey Helmet Review

Super comfortable helmet with a ton of protection

The re akt 200 is the most comfortable helmet I've ever used! The fit plate ensures that the helmet fits perfectly. My only complaint is that the foam in the back of the helmet has separated from the plastic shell. I've tried gluing it back together but it continues to pop off.

Best helmet I’ve ever worn

Since I started playing in 1988, I have worn quite a few helmets in hockey. This Bauer Re-Akt 200 is by far the best I’ve ever worn. Yes it is pricy, but your head is far too important and with a few prior concussions in life, it’s well worth the extra dollars. I also tried the CCM FL 500 due to its 5 star concussion test rating but felt that helmet ( for me ) was way too out… read more there and bulky. Regarding the Re-Akt 200, it def shapes closer to the head than the FL 500 while still feeling as protective and padded. Getting the back piece baked and molded to my head completes the form fitting feel and protective strength of this helmet. I’ve already had a few impacts and it’s held up to its price tag. A great product!!!

What a great helmet!!

I just received this helmet as a Christmas gift from my fiance. I may have picked it out, and asked her and my family to buy it for me...lol. My old helmet was 10 years old, and I knew I needed a new helmet. I've done a lot of research - this is the best helmet out there right now. I'm so happy that she got me this!! It's light, the air vents keep my head cool, and man is it comfortable.… read more It's so much more comfortable than any helmet I've tried on before. I even tried on the Re-Akt 150, and this one is a better fit for my head. Plus, its shell/padding is thicker, so you immediately know that the Re-Akt 200 is more-protective than the next step down. 10/10 I'm very happy with this product. Some say that the price is too high...to that I say - if you want the best-of-the-best, the price doesn't matter. Shelling out $300 is better than getting a concussion, plus you're comfier while playing your favorite sport.

Incredible helmet, consistent as can be, you get what you pay for = A+

Bauer consistently makes solid products. I've bought this helmet in multiple colors due to the overall comfort and styling. Not to mention how strong it is and how well it's held up thru the physical play I put it thru. You'd have to mistreat the product in a manner it's not meant to be used to get it to malfunction. Best helmet to date...

Great helmet!

This helmet is absolutely amazing, my whole high school team wears it. We love the humble but modern style it carrys. Yes it is an expensive helmet but it protects your head very well and is worth every penny.

Size adjustment mechanism broke

For disclaimer, I bought this helmet for my son. I don't play hockey. I bought it a little over a year ago. My son didn't wear it much because of health issues (unrelated to the helmet), maybe 30 times altogether. When he returned to hockey, we found that the size adjustment mechanism broke, so we were no longer able to adjust the size of the helmet to his head size. Since… read more it's been more than a year, the helmet is out of warranty although it is practically new. I'm disappointed that a helmet this expensive can be so poorly made.

Nice helmet

To expensive but it's a good helmet. Light comfortable and look sharp. What can I say it's a bauer hockey helmet and it's made by the best company out there
