Great helmet. Fits perfect, easily adjustable, light weight and comfortable. I used to have a medium size CCM but went with the small Bauer based on the measurements of this helmet. Definitely recommended.

More adjustable = more comfortable

Daughter says it is much more comfortable than the 75, which both of my kids complained about the entire time we owned them.

Excellent helmet; very comfortable; easy to adjust

I bought this helmet to replace my old Reebok 10K. The Bauer RE-AKT Hockey Helmet Combo is very comfortable and fit well. The adjustments were easy to use. Visibility with the cage is very good.

Best ever

I took two hits into the boards. The first hit scared my family. Doc said I was okay but sat me out for two weeks as a precaution. About six months later, I hit the boards, got the wind knocked out of me, and slammed my back but my head was okay!

Not what you might expect...

While this helmet provides excellent protection, the fit is all together different than any and all of the previous helmets from Bauer. And not in a good way, respectively. For those who bought the 9500 and regretted it, the reasons why were addressed with the 9900 in short order, meaning a helmet that fit a fairly wide array of head shapes. And easily adjusted to do so...my guess… read more would be that this will see a quick follow up in the line to address the awkward fit. I own the 9900 but wanted something with more secure padding, the adhesive is breaking down from sweat. The helmet that most addressed this while keeping to a more universal fit, and agreed upon by those with me while trying them on was the reebok 11k. Bummer.... I really like the 9900 and was looking forward to the new kid on the block.

The new standard for helmets

Comments: My original helmet was never very comfortable, and I suspected the protection wasn't the greatest either. Decided to upgrade, so I did some research on the Bauer Reakt. So comfortable and a breeze to adjust.… read more I especially like the occipital 3.0 feature. It's so easy, you can do a quick adjust while sitting on the bench, waiting for your next shift! The memory foam is not just marketing hype - it really works! Again, I've only worn it in a couple of games, but I can feel it getting more comfortable with each use. I bought the helmet/cage combo - definitely great sight lines with the cage. I never feel like there's a blind spot and the titanium cage is very light. Overall, a wonderful helmet. They say that skates are the most important equipment, but the helmet has to be a close second place. Highly recommended!
