Good, Franklin Brand is Better

The padding is really nice. Kids can fall on their knees and not get hurt. The only concern I have is the straps on the back to hold them on their legs is elastic with velcro. My concern is the elastic will stretch with use and time, and the velcro will lose strength. For that reason I would buy Franklin's brand next time. The straps on the Franklin Pads are a strong woven material… read more and they fasten into a plastic. The Franklin brand wasn't available in this size at the time I needed them.

Pads

Great for street hockey. Better quality than some other brands.

Over-priced for the simple quality.

These pads are very light and provide ample protection against ball hockey shots. My complaint is with only three non-adjustable straps, they can’t be fastened tight enough to reduce twisting around my legs when I drop down. I also had a strap tear off from the stitching on the end attached to the pad (non-velcro end).

Pro Look

Great look, nice feel on the outside. They've held up nicely the whole season. Really need a bigger knee wing, I have to wear knee pads or my knees slam into the ground. The velcro that holds the toe could use some reinforcing too, after a few butterflies it comes off.

After the getting the right size (the way they say to measure didn't work so hot) the second time of ordering the pads, they fit my son good.

Fits Perfectly!

These are great pads. I have owned others in the past a none compare to these. The elastic and Velcro straps make it so you can fit these pads as long as you are in the general size range. I love the extra padding a support in areas that might otherwise be worn down.(Knee and toe areas) These pads also allow for a non-painful drop to the butterfly position, something other pads… read more I have owned cannot say. My one small complaint is that the strings in the pads are tied off inside the pad where your leg is and sometimes will itch if not wearing long pants. One tie even came partially out, but I was able to tie off half of it.

Goalie pads

Bought these few weeks ago , my son uses them about 3-4 times . The strings that are laced through back to front had broken and now I will have to thread new thicker string through the pads .

Be Warned

Juinor Bauer Street Hockey Goalie Pads: The stitching inside was pointy on the legs without pants on... then the stiching came out of the pads in the first 2 weeks. So not well constructed as far as that goes.
