Bought a size small for a 4 year old with a good amount of growing room. My 7 year old could slip them on with some effort and were useable as well. At 7 years old you would definitely want the Medium for an average sized kid. We bought these hockey pants when school shopping so we are well over the 90 day warranty. However, we only started our season in late September. The pants came apart at the seam at the bottom of the leg opening. $219 and they lasted just over the 90 days for a peewee aged player.
