Great Stick for Mites

Typically you want your flex to be half your weight for mites probably even a little less, since many are still learning to get low and transfer their weight. Most mite sticks are 20 or 30 flex, but remember when you cut it down the stiffness goes up. My son is 7 and a little over 50 pounds, he can get by with a 20 flex that I have to cut down a bunch, but he seems able to flex… read more this one better and really whip the stick. If you have a mite that is skilled enough to transfer his weight, and lift the puck it is worth the money.

Finally a 10 flex stick!!!

My son has been skating with the 20 flex for 2 years and even at 50lbs has struggled to get good flex on his wrist shots. The 10 flex was a game changer as he's now able to put so much more snap into his shot now that he is properly loading it. He's just over 4 feet tall, but still had to cut about 2 inches off the stick, which is kind of surprising, but overall very happy.

Flex low enough for lighter advanced players!

I bought this for my son who is seven (Mite A team travel hockey) but smaller. With his previous stick at 20 flex, by the time I cut it down to his size the flex was much higher. With this stick cut down, the flex is closer to what he wanted (roughly half his weight). He has loved it so far in his practices and has been able to lift black pucks with it regularly.
