Awful - CCM needs to do better
Awful stick. My twins each got one in early October and both have since had delamination issues and split right down the bottom of the blade. Junk! DO NOT BUY.
Blade delamination multiple times
My daughter is on her 7th 40 flex jetspeed in 6 months. The blade delaminates and splits right down the center lengthwise, usually starting along the bottom. Don't know if just a bad batch or what. We retape every use because were told that maybe moisture build up might be cause, and because we're always worried that the blade is starting to delaminate at any time under the tape.… read more She loved everything about the stick like weight and kickpoint, but 7 sticks in 6 months replaced for the same issue is not cool, especially when only 1 delamination occurred within the 30 day warranty window. Most happen at about day 45. We're switching to Warrior. Photo is of her last two sticks, both only a month and a half old. We have 5 more in the garage with same issue. CCM has only responded once and we've emailed after every occurrence. The only upside is it's relatively cheap. Yet having to buy so many over a short period makes it an overall terrible value.
Great stick but consistent delamination
My kid has been through six of these in one season. Loves everything about the stick. Problem is the blade delaminates and splits into a front and back half. Has happened to every one. We now gorilla… read more glue the halves in a jigged vice when it happens and turn them into practice or dek hockey sticks. Funny thing is, they don't delaminate after gorilla glue. Find a better adhesive, CCM.
