Durability
Breaks easy just above the heal on lower shaft. Broke 2 stick with n 3 months.
Good Stick
Always a good buy. My son needs to find another stick since this is discontinued.
2 new sticks broken after 2 weeks
Bought 2 new sticks for our son - age 13 / just 40 kg - after 7 days the first stick broke, the second one has already cracked. price of EACH stick: 170 euro ;-) answer from the local ccm representative "not our problem" - nice right?
DONT BUY THIS STICK. 2 broken sticks within 8 days
Bought 2 new sticks for our son - age 13 / just 40 kg - after 7 days the first stick broke, the second one has already cracked. price of EACH stick: 170 euro ;-) answer from the local ccm representative "not our problem" - nice right?
Number 1 choice
Best stick ever! Many top shelf and bar down celebrations with this stick.
Avoid Stick Unless you Like Wasting Money
Snapped within two months. Mite level player
Breaks easily
Bought this in late April. Used only a hand full of times until it cracked and broke in the beginning of June. U10 Girls hockey 65 pounds. CCM refused refund/exchange due to expired warranty. Shouldn't crack that easily u10 girls hockey and no slap shots.
Same issue as most on this list- Durability
Great weight, feel and release but the durability is a major concern. Initial stick purchase lasted 1/2 a game. The replacement broke in warm-ups high up the shaft. CCM usually makes a quality product but there has to be some design issue here. Look for a different model
Great stick so far
Great stick. Hybrid kick point is great for both quick release shots and wrist/snap/slap shots.
Good stick but fragile
Great stick but my 14 year old broke two of them within 4 months. First was replaced under warranty but unfortunately the second was not
Zero Stars - Brittle as Eggs
Bought two, neither lasted an entire season... both snapped. Not exactly heavy use either, were used in pee wee hockey. When buying replacement sticks, were told these are known to have significant durability issues.
CCM - buyer beware right now
Great stick however only lasted 3 games. Sounds like quite a few of these CCM sticks have been coming back this year for similar reasons. I had two break weeks apart, both in nearly identical places. Prior had been using the same CCM stick for 2 years so something is definitely not right with their current offering. Hope CCM gets it fixed but for now I have moved on to another brand… read more to save myself losing more $$.
Cheap Quality
Got it for my 10 years old, and stick broke after one month of use
Amazing stick
No problem with durability. Incredible release with almost effortless bar down slap shots. Ultra lightweight sticks will not always be super strong, that's just the science. All in all I would buy this stick again even if it breaks.
Broke stick Warranty
My daughter has broken two of these sticks already. I was three days out of my warranty and they honored it. Great customer service.
Pricey but worth it
Great stick. Light, durable, subtle graphics, quick shots
This stick Breaks!
My 9 year old had this stick for a month and it broke! My son loved this stick but it had terrible durability. Mite players should not be able to break an expensive $179 stick in a month. Very disappointed in CCM, I will be buying Bauer from now on.
Good performance, POOR durability
I purchased three CCM Jetspeed FT3 Pro sticks for my daughter this year, and all three broke in the same place - just above the heel of the blade. Yes, she's on the ice a lot, but she's 75lbs 11yr old. Would have expected at least one of the sticks to last the season. All three broke outside of the 30 day window, so no luck on replacement warranty. In comparison - and as a replacement,… read more we have been using Bauer Vapor Flylite sticks and both have been more durable than the CCMs.
Jetspeed Pro
First stick broke in 3 practices. The warranty/replacement stick is still going strong after 3 weeks. The feel of the stick is outstanding but the durability of the stick leaves a lot to be desired.
Jet speed FT3 pro—awesome
The stick is very light. That makes it easy to handle, and easy to stick handle. When it comes time to shoot it’s fast, and flexible, and the shots are hard and accurate. It’s the best twig I’ve ever had.
Jetspeed ft3 pro youth 30 flex
Great lightweight stick for my 9yr old if you are willing to spend the money. However, if your kid is a very aggressive elite hockey player you may want to go with something a bit more durable. My son broke two of these sticks. Hard to explain why this stick broke twice with the carbon technology these days. Think about it... maybe we just got 2 duds. Is that possible. He stick… read more lifts a ton and it appears the material wears thin at certain points.
Not a good stick...
CCM JetSpeed3 - Sorry, my son and all his friends are using this stick this season and going through them like crazy, breaking at an absorbent rate.
CCM Jetspeed 3 Pro
My son selected this stick for it's control, accuracy and lightweight. Previously he used a True AX7. The FT3 lived up to the performance, but broke in the first game after a few shifts. Durability is in question. Regardless, it's a very accurate and light stick. The warranty allowed for a replacement and we'll have to see if it holds up.
Stick
My son loves the stick but this is the second time that it is snapped on him. I feel that CCM should warrantee even the second stick if it were just snap. The only thing that I don’t like as a parent
Great hockey stick
This is a great replacement stick for the CCM jetspeed ft2. ONE THING to note is this junior 50 flex stick is almost 2+ inches longer than the junior 50 flex CCM ft2. I don't know why it is longer they are both p29 50 flex junior
Yes sticks break
Lightweight, great snap, great feel- Not a sacrifice performance wise. Great for in the crease to top of the circle. Yes, they break. You’re not going to get a stick this light that doesn’t. If durability is your #1 concern, go with the slightly heavier FT3 and not the pro.
Broken Ccm jetspeed
Don’t buy this stick. Weak materials that are prone to break. This was the third one. Broke after 2practices. Weak.
Terrible
My 8yo mite (blue pucks) has gone through 3 of these. The heel is trash and starts to crack and will start to rattle after about 2 months of use. DO NOT BUY
Buyer beware
Do not buy this stick! Bought a FT3 and within 2 weeks it snapped about 6 inches above the blade. Contact CCM they were great and mailed me a new one. That one also snapped in the exact same spot (I bet all negative reviews will say the same thing) within 1 week. Unfortunately the warranty for a stick is only 1 time. I will say this, it was a great stick for the 3 weeks i got… read more to use it, but if you buy this stick prepare to use the warranty and then be disappointed when it breaks a second time. Do yourself a favor and just buy the Bauer Vapor.
Lightweight. Awesome
Great store and they allow You a lot of hands on w equipment before buying
Jetspeed FT3 hockey stick
It’s not cheap. As my kid is growing and is playing defense, we left a little longer. But he loves. Best stick he’s ever owned by a long shot.
CCM FT3 Pro stick.
Increased shot velocity. Especially on snap shots. Very crisp blade feel.
Spendy but swank, a goal scorer's delight
Love it! Lightest twig you'll come across.. Our 11 year old is on ice 4-5x weekly and somehow squeezes 3 months out of these. On # 4 or 5 at this point. One did break early on, obvious defect but Pure Hockey replaced it promptly--they warned that any further breaks would require involving CCM but they took care of us nonetheless...
New Go-to stick
I was always a Ribcore guy, but thIs stick is now my favorite... Overall durability is good, at least at my lower level of play, especially for a stick that feels so light you'd think it would as snap on the first shot. One problem, the toe does have a tendency to split a bit ... But still the best I have used to date
Performance but no durability
This stick is amazing performance. You pay for an ultra light stick with a nice pop of the blade. I love it, the only issue is the top layer of epoxy and carbon weave on the end of the toe disintegrated the first practice skate with it. The fraying has not gotten worse or broken anywhere else yet after a month so I assume it was a lemon with a bubble in the epoxy. Great stick, I… read more just assume mine was a lemon.
New and not lasting one
Was broken in second game. Not durable in my opinion. But other than that my son liked it the short time he had it. He said it is light and easy to work with.
Broke after less than 2 months!
My son purchased this stick himself and was so disappointed when it broke after less than 2 months. It broke when he tried clearing the puck. After looking at the reviews, it looks as though he is not the only one this happened to!
Best stick I've ever owned
I bought a Jetspeed FT2 during the winter of last year and I loved everything about it. The feel and control of the stick was amazing and I was sad when it broke. The FT3 Pro does everything the FT2 does but better. I was worried about it breaking initially but has shown better longevity than any stick I've had in years, amazing product.
The stick broke
I bought this stick only two months ago for my 12 year old son. He hit a puck and the stick broke in two. Again, he is only a PeeWee using this stick! Pure Hockey won’t exchange it after 30 days. So I’m out 200.00 and a broken stick!!
Garbage!
Garbage. Stick broke in just a few months of off and on play since Covid ruined hockey, so not much use out of this stick, but CCM WONT warranty because it’s past 30 days! What a joke. You would think a 63 lb. 9 yo old would not be able to snap a $179.00 stick. Think again.
JetSpeed 3 Pro stick review
Great stick, light and has a nice balance of the weight
Broke both sticks
Buyer Beware! My son absolutely loves this stick and I’m sick to my stomach that I’m now out over $200. The stick broke within the first 30 days at a 12U practice (no extreme or aggressive play). Warranty replaced it but 2 months later it broke in the exact same spot. Another kid on a different team also had this exact stick break at the same time my sons did. Really unfortunate… read more because he loves the way it handles.
Prefer the FT2
My son had used two FT2s prior to our purchasing this FT3. He noted two things: the FT3 is not as durable as the FT2. It broke after two months of fairly steady use, and my son is a 14U Tier 1 player. The other major difference is that the FT2 is a pure mid-kick, and the FT3 is a hybrid low-mid. He noticed the difference almost immediately, and while snap shots were just as good,… read more the FT3 was worse with his slap shot. In short, the stick wasn't as good as the FT2 for my son.
Best all around stick out...less 1 star for no P40
Finally got to try it out since ordering dec 22nd...not pure hockey’s fault though. Just as good as the first Jetspeed imho. I just wish they still made the MacKinnon P40. Takes me a while to get these other curves down...so
Durability issues
Bought first stick - my son loved it but it broke inside of 30 days. Got the warranty replacement and that has also broken inside of 30 days. Both broke at a controlled lessons - not even in a game situations. My son is not hard on sticks and is not using a stick to whip for his size. This is a great stick while it lasts, but for this amount of money it should last longer than a… read more few weeks.
Son loves it, very light
Son says he likes the stick and I can attest it’s very light.
Good purchase
My son loves this stick. I was a little hesitant to buy him the more expensive model, but so far it seems work it. The stick has held up well and he likes how light it feels.
DO NOT BUY THIS STICK! LOWER BREAKS!
I purchased this FT3 Pro stick for my 14U player on 8/8/20. On 10/3/20, the stick broke at the hosel (lower shaft). Because it was so expensive, I had Integral Hockey of CT repair the stick on 10/15/20. They warranty their repairs for life. On 11/8/20, the stick broke a second time in a completely different area from the first break! Second break was higher up on the shaft.… read more Nothing Pure Hockey could do being 2 months out of warranty, so I contacted CCM, and even provided a clear video of the second break, which clearly showed minimal contact during the play for the stick to break, i.e. the stick was not abused. CCM refused to stand by it's product, even though it was just out of warranty by a few months. No goodwill, not even a discount off a new stick?!?! In talking to more ppl in the hockey community, I later learned these FT3 Pro retail sticks are very prone to lower breaks. Stay away, it's not durable and CCM will tell you tough luck if it breaks just beyond the warranty period. Very disappointing customer service from CCM.
Awesome stick!
Best stick I’ve ever had. Super lightweight, great accuracy, easy to shoot with. Highly recommend
Great stick but breaks very easily
I used my friends and it was great and he was letting me use it before he got the chance to use it and it broke after I used it for about 2.5 hours. Felt really good while it lasted though
Great Stick. . . Lacks Durability
I bought this stick a few months ago and loved using it. The weight was incredibly light which made for easy and effortless stick handling and shooting. Unfortunately two or three weeks later, it took a hard slapshot to the shaft, got slashed in a game and broke. Through CCM I was able to get another stick, but after just one month it broke again. This time I was just making a pass… read more and the thing snapped in the exact same spot. To summarize, I loved the feel and versatile kickpoint of this stick as well as the new P90TM curve. I just wish it was more durable, especially because it costs $200 and is supposed to be a top of line product for CCM Jetspeed.
Great stick BUT durability is huge question mark!
Great feeling stick and my kid loved it but he, and 2 other teammates, all had the FT3 break on some fashion. My kid’s stick broke in 3 weeks. CCM can you address the durability of this FT3?
My 12yo son said, "The best hockey stick ever!"
I first read about CCM FT3 Pro junior hockey stick from USA Hockey magazine so when I took my son to the hockey store I asked him to look for it and test it out and see how he like it. I never told him what info I read about the stick nor let him know about its price. The moment he held the stick he immediately said he can't believe how light the stick was. He asked the sales person… read more at the store if he can test it out at the shooting area. He was so amazed how much stronger his shots are and every which way he shoots the puck that it goes in the net all the time. We ended up buying this stick and when he took it at a hockey practice/scrimmage he literally had a better stick handing experience. It was harder for the other kids to get the puck from him and all his shots keep going in the net. Son said he loves his new hockey stick and its the best one his ever have. Overall, the stick may be a bit pricey to get for a 12yo but if it helps them have a better play and gives them more confidence, in the end I think it's worth it. I just hope he doesn't outgrow this stick way too fast...
Two Sticks Broken in 30 Days
In the last month we've purchase two of these sticks and they've broken in the exact same spot. Not to mention in one weekend we had 3 players on the same team have the stick break in the exact same spot too. Wonder why our replacement was going to take forever so they offered to replace w/ a stiffer flex and different curve...Hmmm.
Great Stick
I’ve had the stick for a few weeks so far. The pop in the blade is great, it’s just how I want it. I’ve scored 5 goals in 3 games since having it. I would highly recommend.
Super light but spendy
My nephew loves the FT series and this one didn’t disappoint (according to him). Even lighter than last year’s model. EXPENSIVE.
The best stick EVER!
I paid for the stick and I am 12 this is the best stick I have ever use GET THIS STICK RIGHT NOW IT IS THE BEST. CCM ALL OUT!
Best stick out there
The stick is insanely nice. Great puck feel and release.
Best stick ever made!!
Bought this stick a few weeks ago and I love it. Great control and shots.
Hockey Love
My son is 13 and has been using CCM sticks for years. Something about this stick has reall clicked. By far his most favorite!!
Would recommend
Ccm has gone above and beyond with the ft3 pro, super light, very responsive, great overall stick
Best stick.
Best stick I have ever owned. Light and great control.
My son loves his new stick
My son loves his stick, been tearing it up!! He's had 4 games he's scored a hat trick in each one!
Best stick yet.
CCM has outdone itself with the FT3 Pro stick. Fantastic feel, lightweight and kick point with some serious pop. Quick trigger release
Great stick!
My son loves it! No problem hitting the corners and with plenty of heat on it..... Good looking stick.
Great overall stick
I bought this a couple days ago and it was my best hockey stick I have ever used! Real light, shots come of fast and overall just a great stick! I 100% recommend!
