Great product, great vendor, unhappy with HockeyMonkey
Looking forward to receiving this after watching my defense partner almost break his foot. Received just ONE guard. Called HockeyMonkey customer service, and was told they were "singles", if I had two feet, I would need to order two guards. This made no sense, so I returned the "single". Called the vendor (dflxgear.com), spoke to the owner, he confirmed they should be sold in… read more PAIRS, and he was happy to sell me a pair for the same price HockeyMonkey was selling just one. Happy with the item, becoming very unhappy with HockeyMonkey.
Not worth it
Very cumbersome, a little heavy and took a shot to the side of the foot and hurt like hell. Plus, $80.00?!?!
Outstanding
I have owned several pairs of ankle guards over my lifetime but none have come close to these. They are lightweight, do not bind my ankle as others have, and are not clumsy. They also stay fastened well and have yet to come lose as others have. As a forward, they provide enough protection throughout the boot area. Great quality product.
They Work..PERIOD!
After a shot to my ankle, my friend bought these for me, I have taken slashes and massive shots to my foot and feel nothing. These don't upset my skating like the others I tried, easy on and off, and very secure while on.. as a side note they even look cool on.
