Happy with the Core!
The Helios Core was a great addition to my hockey journey. The breakdown of each practice/game helps me focus on aspects I was not able to focus on before.
Neat Product
They continue to update the app. Interesting data. It is not cheap, and I hope they reduce the monthly fee when the free trial is up
Pot of Black and Red Gold!
I look at this in three ways: 1) Practical application - You get to see what is actually happening. 2) Planning - By identifying the issue you can now work on what is needed. 3) Fun - There is a leaderboard and allows my son to see his hard work in action. One of our best ever hockey purchases, THANK you Helios.
Statistical breakthrough
So great to have a new way to measure on-ice performance! Really shows how a player can fall into the habit of floating as opposed to giving 120 percent when not having possession.
Great Training Aid
I received the Helios Core as an ambassador. Their ambassador program is great and so is the core itself. The points and the hustle score make me work harder towards improving. My skating is one aspect of my game that I need to improve and the core is definitely helping me work towards becoming faster. I have also learned a thing or two about my skating, such as I tend to glide… read more around a lot as my SPM (strides per minute) are a low number normally around 25. I think that is a cool aspect besides the core tracking your speed. For me only having about 25 SPM I have now changed my sharpening to 11/16 so that I can glide a bit easier. That is something I never thought that the core would lead me to, but it did. I was a little bit iffy on the sticker mount that mounts to your shoulder pads, but since trying it out it really holds up well. A strap does come with the core as well if you do not feel comfortable using the mount. It truly is a wonderful product and I highly recommend as a training aid for practice and also games.

Easy to Use, Great Tool for Improving!
My 12-year old son has been using the Helios Core and we're already seeing improvement in his stride and explosiveness. As a 20 year plus powerskating coach I've seen a lot of products come and go. I am extremely happy with the Helios Core, I have all my players wearing them so I can keep constant contact with their skating. As a skating coach the more I know, the more I can develop my athletes to achieve their goals and this product provides that for me.
Excellent training aid!
The core is easily the most innovative training aid that I have seen. Finally, the ability to easily view key stats and work toward targeted training goals. Bragging rights with fellow players and ability to prove skills to coaches is a nice plus. Love the software. Cool product.
