Best grip ever!
This is the only thing I will use for grips. Slide on grips are great and don’t take a toll on your gloves like cloth tape will, but they lack that custom feel. With Lizard Skin I can lay down a string of cloth tape and create a cap to my stick and then cover with Lizard Skin and its exactly how I want it. I will use it on every stick I have.
Easy installation
I've been using Tacki Mac grips for several years, and always find the a pain to put on. So I tried Lizard Skins, wow super easy to put on. I get great feel from the stick and they are a little cushier the Tacki Macs. It seems to be holding up pretty well, I only play once a week anymore and I've had it on for about 5 months give or take. My only gripe is the price, otherwise… read more it's an excellent piece of kit.
Don’t a fan
It falls off your stick really fast. If you have white palms, they really stain your gloves. It rips really fast. Overall, I find Lizards Skins aren’t the best.
Great Grip
Just bought this grip and have had it for a couple practices. The feel is amazing and immediately improved my shot and stickhandling. Looking forward to trying this out in a game.
Three games so far...
A teammate had this on his stick and I liked the feel so ordered a couple. I've only had it on for three games but digging it so far. A bit expensive, putting one on an older stick so not sure how I'll feel if that breaks in the coming weeks as I'm not sure it would take well to being taken off and applied to a new stick. My buddy had one of his come unraveled during a game.… read more His concern was maybe it didn't tack well to the stick shaft. He applied a first thin non-overlapping layer of hockey tape to give the tacky surface of the Lizard Skin a surface to grab on to and it hasn't come back off since. So I tried that on my own stick as well.
Good Grip
New hockey player, didn't like the rough tape grip, or a big knob on my stick. Coming from softball and field hockey i'm used to a thin soft grip. I found that this provides that similar feeling. Ive had it on for a about 6months, the top is starting to wear down a little now but i'm not seeing any wear in my gloves or anything out of the ordinary. I only play 1-2x per week though.… read more Good for a beer leaguer.
Great Company Sort of
Before they started making these for hockey i already used their baseball .5mm for my hockey sticks and it was awesome. It prevented holes in my gloves and i had exceptional feel on my stick. So when i saw they made them specifically for hockey i had to try it. But they aren't the same the hockey ones have a little to much grip. If you want to try them i suggest trying the baseball… read more version, it has a little less grip but still enough for controlling your stick, and not as harsh on the palms of your gloves.
Holes after 2 games
Works great if you like a lot of grip and holes in your gloves. I've been using my gloves for a year with no wear on the palms. Halfway into my 3rd game using this grip I noticed a hole at the base of my pinkie.
