MicroGel Mouthguard Review

Somewhat disappointing

Very hard to get a good fit. I tried re molding many times before i got an okay fit. Because of this, talking and drinking were quite difficult without the mouthguard coming out of place or falling out.

Works well but hard to mold

While this mouthguard eventually worked as promised and allows my son to talk more easily while wearing it, molding it was pretty difficult and frustrating. The instructions for molding tell you to use water that is not too hot, however, if you do that the rubber will not mold to the teeth. Even after getting it hot enough, it is difficult to get it to mold around the large back… read more teeth. You have to make sure that you get a good fit around the front teeth for it to stay in place. We had to do the molding process 4 times before we got it right so while it works, the gel on the inside now has multiple teeth/bite marks. Still a good mouthguard but for the price, I was hoping for it to be easier to mold.

Not a good fit

Difficult to get a tight fit. I have tried numerous times, softening and reforming and it’s always loose. I have played with it twice and it feels like it’s going to fall out of my mouth every time I try to talk.
