Helps me a great deal

Make sure you route the velcro through one of your laces on top of your skate

Pro Laces Toe Straps

Good to see that this product was in stock. Only 3 stars for this product because they usually only last for a few months before needing to be replaced.

Toe Straps fit Brians

My ‘08 had a pair of Brians with the original straps but they began to deteriorate. Of course he lets me know the morning of a game and Pure Hockey came in clutch. Thanks!

Pro laces goalie toe ties

Sturdy and perfect for taking pressure and strain off your hips and ankles

Great product

Excellent product but since I play roller hockey I wish the bungees were replaceable

Awesome upgrade!

Saw these and upgraded an old pair of pads with tie on laces. Makes getting my daughter in pads faster and avoids laces coming undone and dragging on the ice. These are a no brainer!

Bungee toe ties

Been sportn these toe ties for the last year. Quick easy install and comfortable feel during games n practice.

Bungee detached from Velcro

Purchased for a youth hockey goalie. He used for less than 2 months and the bungee pulled out from the velcro part. He wants me to replace but if I have to keep buying every 2 months we may go back to laces. Unfortunate because he really likes these

Simply fantastic.

How have I played so long without these? I’ve used skate laces for nearly 20 years, and I didn’t realize how much this strained my knees. After a single skate with these babies, I knew I’d never go back. If you are on the fence about trying them out, just do it. Easy and fast to put your pads on, less strain on your knees, get much better blade to Ice contact with the stretch read more in the toes, and forgiveness on movement.

Best system for kids

Used these on my 08s last 3 sets of pads. With the exception of one tie which went through heavy use, they all lasted. I am not sure why people have commented that they easily broke, like a shoelace doesnt? Put them on correctly and they'll be fine

Good, but buy in sets of 2.

Love the system, however the first pair both frayed where attached to Velcro tab within 1 season. Had nothing to do with blade damage, appear to be attached poorly.

Garbage, Lasted One Week

High School Goalie. It lasted one week. The Bungee cord came apart from the Velcro part. Broke during practice and stepped on it the whole practice.

Worth the money

Very easy to install, definitely helps when putting on pads. Eases soreness in ankles but still pretty robust and well built.

Toe strap upgrade

Great product and relatively easy to install. One improvement would be if it came with a shorter set of screws as well as the longer ones to appropriately size them so they don’t protrude through the nut and damage the pad or your goalie skates. They work well though!

Easy and reliable

Makes putting on gear faster as well as taking off.

Good idea, being used on pro level pads

a great idea and works well...only had them about a year of playing once a week of mens league level before one cable frayed and broke...could maybe be more durable for the price

Not for inline.

Very well made but because I am playing inline hockey, they keep breaking after the first use. If there was a coating where the strap wraps around your boot that could resist concrete abrasion that would be great. Also if the nosing that contains the screws was narrower it would not rub on your front wheels.

Great product, despite short(ish) bolts

Always have to use longer bolts, and then cut them to avoid long bolts cutting up toes on skates. The one's included are just a bit too short to easily install. Apart from that, these work great.

Speeds Up Getting the Gear On

Even though the screws didn't line up perfectly, but they were simple to attach with just a screw driver. He's played 3 times since I put them on his pads and he is super happy with them - no problems yet.

Innovative idea!

Great product to replace toe ties and have flexibility to seal the ice better

Pro lace review

The product performs exactly how it is supposed to with the exception of being heavy duty compared to your standard Hal’s.

Love these pro laces tow straps

Bought these replace the factory Brian's smart straps. Wasn't happy with how the Brian's smart straps pulled through my cowlings. So I purchased these and was not disappointed, install took about 20 minutes, I tied these in using the original cords from the Brian's. I believe using the screws would rub on the pads and cause damage. Overall very happy with these.

One Lace broke first time I used it

Left side was perfectly fine - no issues. But for whatever reason, the lace on my right side skate/pad didn't want to stay over cowling. Instead, the lace went under my skate, I nearly bit it, and damaged the outer fabric. I had to remove my pad to fix it. I had everything back on and same thing happened. This time, it broke completely. Trying toe hooks instead.

Couple changes could make them better.

I went to the hardware store and swapped the screws for ones 1/4in shorter - they need the longer screws to get them on, material clamped together but once all clamped you can swap them for 1/4in shorter so they don't dig into the skates. Also - expensive for what they are...

New Goalie Toe Straps

They work well. A little hard to install, had to trim the hard plastic toe pad insert to get them to fit. I have an old pair of goalie skates but I can get the straps to Velcro ok

Pro Laces Toe Strap

These work great! Fast and easy for both my goalies to use at the High School and U12 level. Switched from standard laces and Toe Hook system and will not be going back.

A must for any butterfly goalie

I’ve used these toe ties about 6 times now. Overall they are excellent. Provide just enough stretch and slack to take the strain off your ankles and knees that regular skate lace can create. Easy to attach, I would recommend grabbing shorter hardware that ends flush with the mounting hardware so it doesn’t dig into your skate cowling/toe.

Helpful for goalies but keep them in stock

I appreciate having these toe straps for my son. They are a lifesaver because my son does not have to worry about laces coming loose during a game. However, I went to one store near my house and they did not have any junior sizes. I had to drive all the way to south metro to purchase the correct size. (I live half way between St. Paul and Duluth.) Please keep all the sizes in stock!

Worked for a game

I wanted to try something besides laces, I thought this would be a resolution to movement that I wanted. Unforunately, after the 2nd game, they started to be cut by my skates. It seems to be a specific cord, can't guarantee these aren't going to break completely soon. I can't recommend these.

Life saver

I've been using these for about 4 months now, on the ice almost daily, and they have held up great and give me so much more mobility with my foot. The only hugely important thing is DONT USE THE SCREWS. They will absolutely eat and/or destroy your toe caps, I keep mine attached with skate lace and it works perfectly and doesn't damage my skates.

Good design & helps lock down pad

Bought these to replace skate laces I use in the toe bridge of my CCM e-flex 3.9 pads and find they work well. Getting used to how tight they feel & playing around with how I lock them down around the skate. I would like to see the elastic about .5" to 1" longer, but expect a looser fit afyer more use.

New toe ties

i bought these in store to replace my Brian's 2.0 toe ties. overall they are really good. I modified mine to use some nylon lace because the screw were destroying the front of my skate. The only thing that i don't like about these toe ties is that the Velcro does not stay on top of my skate and move to the side of my skate. Again just something that bothers me. durability is so read more far really good.

Inside info from Staff is the key!

Game changing for me. I have Supreme one one pads and adding these make me feel invincible!! Pure hockey’s manager is Marlboro, Lee is a goalie and set me on the right path!!

Good Concept, But Poor Durability

I have been using prolaces for 6 weeks or approximately 18 games and practices. The Velcro is strong but the cords will break with normal use as mine did in less then 2 months. I can’t justify spending $25.00 every 6 weeks to replace them. I guess there is a reason why they don’t offer a warranty for this product. I will be going back to using standard laces for toe ties.

Perfect

These straps are very easy to get on, my 10 yr old son can do them by himself. They are perfect for smaller than adult boys, as i had another companies version and they were good but too long. Some mentioned the screws came through far and they do, you may have to cut down after installation

NO MORE HOOK WRESTLING

these replaced the elastic toe straps that clipped into my skate laces. The tension stays consistent through aggressive game play. They are simple to assemble and wear. The wear on the wrapped elastic is not excessive & velcro stays attached. Pleased with this purchase so far

Finally a replacement for Brian’s toe straps

My son had Brian’s and they worked great...Until they tore and there was no replacement for them - even from Brian’s These work great although I will say that the screws were way too long. I hadn’t to tape them up so no one got cut. It’s an easy fix but I haven’t done it yet.
