Good but a bit short for tall players.

Good product. I was using an old school garter belt and separate jock before. I got these mesh shorts when my team got the new style socks with the Velcro tabs instead of the sweater style. I like that these have the butt straps that hold the cup in place (the yellow Bauer ones don’t have that). My only problem is that I’m 6’2” and I wish they were a little longer. I… read more feel the socks pull off of the Velcro every time I wear them because they are too short. If they were longer or my socks were longer they would hold my socks better. These are my first socks like this (in 20 years of play) and they are pretty tight on my shin pads and stay up even if the Velcro comes off so it’s not a deal breaker. Just keep it in mind if you are tall that they may be shorter than optimal.

Watch out for the thigh elastic

My son is 6’1” and 195 pounds. We would usually by a size large. Went with the XL because the elastic that goes around the thighs was wider. Works well for him. Not sure he would like them if he had gotten the size L. And you’d need to be pretty thin to wear anything below a L. Don’t they know hockey players have large thighs?

Great value for the money. No need to buy Under Armor. Great fit, plenty of velcro to keep your socks up, and...most importantly it protects 'the boys' without giving you any chafe.

Solid shorts. Bands that go around thighs could be a little bigger so they are not so tight. Other than that they are good shorts.

Good quality

Good quality product, perfect for a teenaged bantam or high school player. We buy one at the start of every season and it lasts through summer hockey. Wash it once a week too and it stays in shape.

Uncomforatable to wear due to elastic.....

I bought this item about two weeks ago as a back up pair due to leaving mine at home. The elastic that goes around the legs was uncomfortably tight (to the point it was almost not worth wearing for the protection it was to provide) and left marks on my legs. I have purchased a few of these from her over the last few years and this is the first time I have ever had an issue with… read more anything purchased here. Felt as if the manufacturer sewed in elastic from a pair of youth pants into the men's as it was that bad!

The quality of the jock shorts is terrible. It’s an old style jock strap in a cheap pair of shorts.
