Best value in hockey
The stiffness and comfort you get for the price point is incredible with these skates. After one bake and two skates, they are easily the most comfortable skates. I have an odd shaped foot - very wide forefoot, high arches, short toes, high volume. Even the new Bauer Fit 3 was slightly too narrow. The wide sizes on these fit like a dream after baking. These do run big though. Highly… read more suggest buying at least a .5 size down from your normal skate size. I wore a 9W in Bauer and wear an 8W in these, but that comes with zero accommodation for my weird foot shape, something I was having to do with Bauer. Also do not pass judgement on these until you bake them. Trying them on pre bake they felt way too small. They greatly loosen up out of the oven. Highly recommend these.
Best skates on the market, a little pricey if on a budget
I got these skates, after they were baked, it felt like a custom fit boot. I went to skate with them on the same day, and there was little to no break in time. They felt natural, like it was only your foot gliding along the ice. Would definitely recommend to everyone.
Best skate for my son so far
Amazing fit period. My son (a peewee) has worn Bauer and CCM in the past - we always spent the extra time to get the right model according to his foot dimensions (Supreme, Nexus, Tacks etc). Het tried the Supremes after a great pair of tacks and he had some serious foot pain. So, we went early to switch back to the CCMs. We needed something to compare the CCMs to so I asked… read more to try the Trues. My son's initial thoughts were "I don't like the look dad do we have to try them". I told him don't worry about that, just try them and compare. First he puts on the Tacks and says yea, they fit good. Then he puts on the Trues and proclaims, "put the CCMs back I don't need to even put them back on". That was about 2 months ago and his skating has been steadily improving since then. Speed is significantly improved and he still proclaims that they are the most comfortable skate he as ever used. Give them a try - if they are the right fit for your foot you will know right away. Highly recommended.
