It's a snap

It's a plastic helmet snap, so there shouldn't be much to it. On the plus side, I like that it has kind of a tabbed end that you can easily grip to unsnap it. On the minus side, it has a lot of flex to it, so that it bends some when you pull on it. My snaps aren't very tight, but I'm afraid it might not hold up if you have to pull it off a really tight fitting. But for .99, what do you want? Buy a few for insurance.
