Good skate great price!

I got these skate for my birthday end of Jan. Feet hurt the first few time I went out and then one day they felt great. I like how light they are. For the price I haven’t seen much difference in quality compared to one twice it’s price. I would say get new laces though. Ones that come on it felt apart after a few months

Recreational hockey helmet

I’m new to hockey. I bought a Bauer re-akt 95 with a bird cage that I wear while playing games. Bought this one as a beater bucket for stick and puck skates where I don’t feel I need a cage and just skating around/shooting/stick handling. I can barely tell the difference between the buckets and my re-akt was 140$ more expensive. All that being said. The re-akt 95 is a little more comfy. Has a little more ventilation. Drys quicker. Is slightly easier to adjust. But that’s it. Both are light. Both have the certifications. I feel protected in both. And both are relatively comfy. If I would have known what I know now, I would have saved myself 140$ and got myself this 40$ bucket instead of the re-akt 95.

Very lightwight

This helmet is incredibly light. Once you get the right size padding to fit your head, it's incredibly comfortable. This is a one piece helmet so you will need to buy the correct size and then adjust using the pads provided. looking forward to using it in my next game.

Best hockey pants

Pro pants! The best hockey pants I've ever tried. Light weight, breathable and fits very well. I could say these are revolutionary.

excellent elite level pants

These are amongs't the best hockey pants I've ever worn. Even though their not top level pants they are good for any level of play right up to the pro level. The protection is unbelievable on the hips, kidneys, tailbone and shin areas. What makes it even better is the D30 in the hips and spine that absorbs any leftover impact shock. The fit is great. Gives you generous room around the legs and core areas yet is snug enough to protect you from almost any impact you may encounter on the rink. You can undo the leg zippers at the inside of the legs if you prefer even more room for your legs and the internal belt will lock the pants in place at the hips. Suspender buttons are provided if you wish to use those as well. The 400 denier material adds to the lightness of the pant itself and is durable enough to withstand scuffing on the boards and other surfaces you may encounter on the ice or in the benches. The pants liner absorbs excess perspiration and the pants are well ventilated to keep you cool during a game. I highly recommend these pants if you play at a higher level of hockey where protection , durability and agility is a must.

Premium price but mediocre material

Paid a premium for this mostly for the cut protection. Assumed CCM would match quality/durability of the other big manufacturer of hockey gear. Unfortunately the price gets you only cut protection but not a premium fabric or manufacture. The competitor product at this price gets you a very durable premium fabric...the fabric on this seems like the same thin (probably wont last) fabric you would get on a much cheaper product. Wish CCM would have offered a much better, more durable total product instead of just charging a premium for the cut protection but giving a cheap fabric.

Cheap and functional

Needed something for my 1 night a week beer league without breaking the bank. Obviously only spending $100 bucks I wasn’t expecting much but these have worked fine so far. I’m not very optimistic for how long they will last but about a month in they still are like brand new!

The best runners, period.

Regardless of boot, be it any brand, any model, STEP STEEL runners ARE hands down the finest runners, period. I cannot emphasize this enough. Most individuals pay no attention to what comes from the factory. If only they knew. Further, most individuals have no idea of - the importance of - getting runners profiled (via template only!!!!!), but that's another story.......... The quality of the steel, the processing, the forging of STEP STEEL so vastly surpasses that of any factory blade as to beggar description. The upshot.......... Vastly better durability more than anything else which is big. These runners hold an edge far longer than any other available, period. And when properly sharpened better glide. It's all in the metal and processing folks. You add this up and it's a no brainer. Do yourself a favor and buy a set. You have no idea what you're missing.

Great Item for any Hockey Bag!

A must for any player to make that last moment helmet/face shield repair when one of those annoying little pieces gets lost. A cheap small platic snap case to hold all those little parts would help to keep everything in order in your bag. A great addition when you need it.

too high pitched

Sounds more like a basketball whistle. Wish I had bought something else. As a new ref, I was trying to save a few bucks, but now I have to buy something else. It does work and probably meets some ref organization requirements, but it is out of place in most ice hockey games. Maybe better for innline hockey officiating.
