Good fit/comfy foam, great impact protection

So I had an adult league game the day I bought this. No joke...2nd period, coasting backwards towards the boards to grab the outlet pass, I hit a rut and went skates-up, 18" from the boards. Basically, the #1 fall that I'm still worried about, even playing down in this over-40 beer league. Anyway...my back hit first, then I actually HEARD the back of my head hit...it was LOUD. But I didn't feel it, thanks to this helmet. That could've been a really, really bad Sunday evening, but it wasn't. I almost went cheap & bought the model below this, and I'm glad I didn't. I can't swing the FL3DS, but for ~$160, this is by far the best piece of gear I've purchased as I come out of retirement this year. This is my first CCM helmet ever (was still rocking my old Reebok 7k!), and I doubt I buy any other brand, from now on...I'm sold, y'all. REAL sold.
