Awesome Protection, Not Thought Through

I had surgery on my foot over the summer and I now have an incision with built up scar tissue on the inside of my foot, near the ball. I needed to get really wide skates without actually getting a wide. I bought the Flexlite 4.0s and I love them. However, they are unbelievably soft. Without these fenders, I would have broken either of my feet every time I took a puck or slash off my skate. That's where these come in. The only problem is, over the course of three collegiate practices and games, I've torn two of the velcro straps. They are really worthless. Now I just use skate laces which actually work better, but look pretty stupid. But for the protection, you can't beat them.
