Smooth/comfortable ride, great protection

These skates provide a very smooth ride. The bearings aren't the fastest, but do well to balance speed and control with the more aggressive stance the 80/76 wheel diameter split provides. And the hard casing adds protection right where you need it. I had heard some grumblings about ankle pain from other owners, which I had initially as well, but once they break in that completely went away. Took me about a week of regular use (~30-60min a day) to break them in naturally (no bake). I had a little trouble with a couple of my bearings loosening early on. But that was an easy fix with the skate key provided. And honestly, it's such a smooth ride, that it was easy to hear/feel the chatter from a loose wheel and fix it quickly before it could become a problem. All in all, these are great skates that really help fill the gap for skating and hockey in the warmer months. I'd highly recommend them for skaters of all levels.
