My 8 year old is very picky about the way stuff feels on his skin and he loves the comfort of it. I wish they would make it so that the D30 foam goes all the way around the back of the neck though to protect from crosschecks there. Maybe in a future version. Still an awesome upgrade from the stock Bauer or CCM ones
