Lacks Protection...everywhere

I had such high hopes for this chesty but was severely disappointed. I sold my Warrior G2 Sr chesty to "upgrade" to this CCM E5.9 and I regret it. While on paper this CCM looks beefy and offers good adjustment, it lacks protection...everywhere. In beer league men's 40 year old games I'd feel every shot in the chest, shoulders and especially arms. I thought maybe it was just in my head that I was feeling more pucks but after 3 games of getting stung in the shoulders and arms I was done with this unit. At the $300-$400 price range I'd recommend looking elsewhere. I'm disappointed as I love the fit and protection of my other CCM gear (skates, helmet, knee guards) but CCM failed on this E5.9 Sr chesty. Pros: - looks good - good adjustment / strong velcro attachment points Cons: - lacks protection; felt every shot - wrist bands do not cinch tight enough and fabric just bunches - non-removable belly flap pads make tucking this chesty cumbersome - upper arms material around armpits uncomfortable and rubbed
