My son has had them for the past 4 seasons (squirt, pw) and loves them. We have to change once due to use and tear, and another one when we changed pads. With laces, the pads where either too loose or too tight. The Toe Flex allow for the right balance. I've read that it's come out in practices/games. In 4 years, it happened to us twice in practice. But I've seen laces getting untied just as often. I advice to make sure you follow the instructions they provide on the website. Maybe a bit pricy (incl. shipping), but good product.
