My son uses elastic toe/boot straps and we have added this to cut down on the wear points he experiences specifically along the bottom of the pads/toe area - for that purpose it has worked great, he wears through every couple of months. No problems with is sticking. I'm planning on creating his team logo with it if they make the championship! (elbow grease and a razor cutter/matte knife) hopefully I remember to update once its completed
