Yes I recommend the FT390, here is why: Introduction: Went into Hockeymonkey to try on a bunch of different gloves and here is what I found. I was looking for gloves in a particular price point. After trying on Bauer, Warrior, True, and CCM, I settled on the CCM FT390. Glove Look and Feel: Very good feel in the fingers and thumb directly on the stick, it's not bulky and you're above to move in them very well. The fingers feel is snug versus a Bauer so it stays on your hand and doesn't slip off. Cuff is open and not restricting, great for players who move and work the puck a lot. The FT390 is very similar to the FT1 gloves. My experience: I've been wearing this glove for a year, I still really like it and I think its a great glove, Great for wingers, for movement and feel, it really does fit like a glove, I would not recommend it for defensemen. The cuff is a bit low for D. I've taken a few slappers off the hand and the top of the hand protection is still solid but not as much as a 4 row. Wear: The glove will wear on the inside of the palm. Even with the additional layer, i am starting to see wear after a year. If you use grip tape or stick tape only you will see wear as both of those are rough on the glove palm. Switching to a tennis style wrap has helped give some more life to the glove. Changing the wrap is a recommendation if you're looking to preserve your gloves for a longer life.
