Zipper broke in less than one season of use, out of warranty - DO NOT BUY

These gloves were a holiday gift for my son, who, at the time, was midseason in his PW year. He loved these gloves, and treated them well. At the beginning of this season, his 1 year Bantam, one of the gloves began to come apart during practice. At first, I thought it was just the zipper coming undone, but it was actually the zipper teeth separating and the zipper detaching from the base of the glove. This is a non-reparable issue with the glove. The reason for buying them was to get extended life in a great glove by being able to detach and replace the palm. However, when the zipper is faulty and breaks on the body side, there's no way to fix the issue with a new palm. True has a warranty, but it's too short. I expect hockey gloves to last for far more than one season, which I don't think is an unreasonable expectation. These are not those gloves, and I would not buy them again or recommend them to anybody. It was an expensive 5 months worth of use.
