Hello, the pants fit the kid perfectly. They look great and they are true warm up pants, for they are layered, not just a thin piece of material. There is a draw string around the waistband too, which helps keep them up. The bottoms are zippered plenty high for skates or even boots if used outdoors for work or play. Lastly, I believe the thighs are a little bit padded. The kid loves them and wears them all around for casual wear. Thank you.
