The socks are for better than the socks I used in the past. With the socks they have the appropriate cushion at the toe and the heal. The cushion in the toe help manage the rubbing that I had with the seam where the toe cap meets the boot. I used to have to use these gel tubes over my big toes to prevent pain. With these I do not even worry about that. These are also the easiest socks to put on as well as comfortable. I would pick these up again and again.
