Great goal and better for the price
I shopped for a goal like this on sights like Ebay, Let Go, Sideline Swap, etc and found old crusty, rusty ones for $100-130. To get one delivered to my house for about $186 was well worth the extra money. It was a bit of a pain lacing it up, but again, worth the end result. I bought this for my 9 year old that just wants to shoot on goal and practice goalie all day. This is a… read more tough enough goal for adults. It says it could face 67 mph slappers. I"m just a dad so I'm not up to that speed, but I've hit it with some pretty decent wrist shot and no problems with the netting or pipes. It is large so make sure you have the room. The backstop will probably catch 90+% of your missed shots.
Hockey Goal/ Back stop
Great kit and price point. For older shooters I would recommend a heavier netting and instructions on how to properly string the net.
Kick save and start tying!
Been great for the kids to shot on. Only thing I had disliked, was all the tying. Weld the basket ball hoop net holders to this thing for future customers.
Disappointed
First one came damaged, appeared to be a past return as the replacement one came packaged completely different. Very disappointing due to it being a present that we had to turn around and send back because several pieces were damaged.
Just what we wanted!
We received the package and my boys couldn’t wait to put it up! It is sturdy and big enough to handle those pucks that go a little out of the way. It took a little time to put it together but once we got it going it was well worth it!
Hockey Goal
Having the side nets and top over the goal is great for our grandson as he learns his accuracy of shooting.
Home slapper practice
Great goal. Zero complaints. Make sure you order the correct tarp goalie tho. I made that mistake.
Nice net
Works great for my 8- & 11-year-olds. It's lighter than ice nets, but strong enough for kids shots. Set up was pretty easy
Great goal for the money
The goal was easy to assemble. The tubing seems strong and the net seems like it will last
Good goal
Solid product - instructions were not helpful at all (especially with stringing the net) but the product itself is good. I'd say it's more designed for children with softer shots but my 9 year old loves it and uses it every day and it's been great for that.
Quality goal at a great price
High quality goal for a great price. Sturdy enough for slap shots from my high school son but light enough for my 11 year-old to move around.
Decent Goal
Getting back into hockey as an adult I wanted a goal to work on my shot. I like the goal. I like that bauer didnt put the locking pins on the front face of the net like the other popular net brand... seems like a no brainer. After ripping shots at it for over and hour I feel confident it can take a beating from ice pucks. It held up well against wristers and clappers. No dents,… read more not even on the smaller back pipes. Box says it can handle up to 62 MHP, so that should be good enough for kids, teens, and amateur adults. However, this goal isn't perfect. I think some pipes were slightly bent, as it doesn't sit right. In one corner a puck can almost slide under, the other is flush to the ground. Another issue is the backstop. On mine the holes that hold the backstop are angled, so when you adjust the angle to fold them back it will catch on the ground and lift the net up so the posts are floating - Maybe by a quarter inch. Also not packaged extremely well as some pieces came scratched and chipped. Not the end if the world, but kind of a bummer. Overall it's very sturdy. Pieces fit very snug, so it doesn't sound like a heap of scrap metal, but you may need to get the mallet out when assembling. Stringing the net takes time, but it's a quality net at least. I like the rounded back vs square - more closely resembles a pro net. The backstop may not be as high of quality as the goal, but all said and done I think bauer has a decent product here.
Great net for real time practice
took a minute to figure out how to attach the netting but once we did it was just a little time to get put on. Once we got it all put together and setup out in our back yard it was evident that this is the perfect backyard shooting piece we needed. before my son shot on a smaller net with lots of holes, now he's shooting with confidence about 100 pucks a day and working the corners… read more of the net. The outer netting really does keep the pucks from flying out and landing in places you dont want, like our bushes. Last, I recommend that you buy/use the blue mite pucks for outdoor shooting. We bough the 200 pack from pure hockey. they weigh less than the normal pucks but they wont tear your net apart 3 mo's, 6 mo's or longer.
Bent out of shape
The box it came it appeared to ha e been towed behind a car at a high rate of speed to my doorstep. The ends of the tubes were smashed the oval shape which made it :ery difficult to put in the other round end. After 3 days, It is finally close to being finished. If it hadnt been so vlose to Christmas, It would ha e been returned.
Pure junk
very hard to assemble. instructions are horrible. three people three hours and I assembled many things over 40 years.
Awful Net Not Worth The Money
Don’t waste your money. This set will dent on you with the soft shots from a 12 year old.
Great goal, good price.
Easy to setup. Only complaint would be that the net screening across the top should be a little tighter.
Corner work
Great net. Setup was easy and mostly painless. The sides and top net are great for kids trying to work on corners
Bauer Performance Hockey Goal
Nice net. Easy to put together. Easy to move around. The inner posts will dent from hard shots with a Green Biscuit or an ice hockey puck, but this is to be expected at its price point.
Bauer 72x48x30” hockey goal works!
The regulation goal is tough. Net fit well enough to spring the pucks back out. Net nylon is thick. Stringing the net properly takes the most time. Well worth the effort.
Dents easily
The net says it can withstand shots up to 60 MPH without denting... I’ve yet to see any shot at all that didn’t dent it. This net is probably better for street hockey or plastic pucks and balls.
Awesome heavy duty net! No more holes in the wall
This net is heavy duty and works very well against a 60 mph puck. We had a lighter woven net before this one and it just didn't hold up well. This net is definitely a good pick.
