Getting back into hockey as an adult I wanted a goal to work on my shot. I like the goal. I like that bauer didnt put the locking pins on the front face of the net like the other popular net brand... seems like a no brainer. After ripping shots at it for over and hour I feel confident it can take a beating from ice pucks. It held up well against wristers and clappers. No dents, not even on the smaller back pipes. Box says it can handle up to 62 MHP, so that should be good enough for kids, teens, and amateur adults. However, this goal isn't perfect. I think some pipes were slightly bent, as it doesn't sit right. In one corner a puck can almost slide under, the other is flush to the ground. Another issue is the backstop. On mine the holes that hold the backstop are angled, so when you adjust the angle to fold them back it will catch on the ground and lift the net up so the posts are floating - Maybe by a quarter inch. Also not packaged extremely well as some pieces came scratched and chipped. Not the end if the world, but kind of a bummer. Overall it's very sturdy. Pieces fit very snug, so it doesn't sound like a heap of scrap metal, but you may need to get the mallet out when assembling. Stringing the net takes time, but it's a quality net at least. I like the rounded back vs square - more closely resembles a pro net. The backstop may not be as high of quality as the goal, but all said and done I think bauer has a decent product here.
