I really like the product because it is very easy to apply and its a nice smooth surface to get your shot off with. And a thing I dont like is its good for reducing drag becuase theres know tape at the bottom but people like me who use the more expensive sticks dont want to chip up there blades and it does that. So this product is very good but would be more for someone in the NHL… read more or someone who can just wast there money on hockey sticks all the time.
Overall a great product
This is much better than Tacki-Mac and other similar products. There is no protection on the bottom of the blade, but I find that if you take a single strip of tape the length of the blade and place it along the bottom, that problem is solved.
Blade Shark OK
It's a piece of hi grit sand paper. the sweet spot of teh blade is covered, but when you're using $200 sticks it would be nice to have protection on the bottom of the blade.
It surprisingly works...
I was skeptical at first thinking it would provide too much cushion like other faux tape products, but it actually allows much more feel of the puck than you would think. It has a nice grip on the puck and allows you to lift your wrist shots much easier. Even though the paint color wears off quickly, it still retains its sandpaper grip. I have used it for at least 10 games now… read more and still going strong; I will probably get about 15 games out of it before I replace it.
Not good for Inline
I think this product is good for ice hockey due to the weighted ice hockey puck. Cons: Way too grippy for an inline puck. Flipped the puck over when stickhandling and cross floor passing was a disaster when playing inline hockey. Pros: Awesome Grip, nice shot with it, and made receiving hard passes very easy.
