Decent high-quality heavy wax laces but prefer Elite ProLace model

Jay

I initially bought both Elite ProLace and Pro-s700 laces to replace some not-recommended AR waxed laces that lost ALL their wax after 3mos of daily indoor use. The amount of wax on the Elite ProLace is decent and doesn't wear off, but the laces have stretched considerably, originally ~244cm, now 273cm, and had to be shortened. This stretch didn't occur with the Pro S700 laces I read more had on a second identical pair of freestyle inline skates (Seba Igor-10's) used outdoors with an estimated 300 days use before they broke. The Pro S700 laces are very waxy and continue to hold their wax, which I like, though unlacing is easier with the Prolace model. I'm quite proficient at lacing using the "under then over" lace configuration on my skates, and find the ProLace model can be secured just fine with good lacing technique. My second pair of S700 laces is fraying prematurely and unclear why. I'll be buying the ProLace model in the future and will recommend them to my students at the skate school where I teach.

Third pair and done

Me: I wear waxed laces only, skate 5 times a week Pro level skates Review based on THREE pairs of use....was given a pair, tried on and liked, bought two more in my color. These are the last Elite laces I will buy. Initial set up and performance is what is expected from waxed, kinda narrow laces. After 7 ish skates noticed the laces seem stretched, then even after adjusting read more they still felt stretched, but performed as should. After short use, start to roll up or curl from three eyelets up. 15 ish skates, all pairs started to fray... so for me 2-3 weeks of hard us I get stretched, fraying, curling laces that will now make a lesser than pro tongue susceptible to lace bit, among the breakdown of the laces. They do not hold as tight, but could still be considered useable at this point... but performance, lacing, and durability are all now in quick breakdown mode. I change laces often because I like skates tight, and unchanging without re-tying during games. But three pair already this young season... cmon. I need more than two weeks of quality

Waxed?

As I was putting these on my skates, I noticed that they felt like normal laces. I went skating in them but they got loose, pretty sure these aren't waxed. the reviews before me say the opposite, but they don't feel at all waxed.

Great Laces

These are great laces. They lace up tight and stay at the adjustment you left them at. They seem to be low-stretch. I agree with the reviewer who says they are hard to untie. That's good, they stay tied. You can untie them with your lace tightening tool. One reviewer awhile back said the laces were not durable. However, I used mine for both the end of the 2016 inline season read more and for the entire fall ice hockey season and they don't even show any wear on either set of skates.

Best laces ever.

These laces are the best on the market. I love them. They don't loosen up at all. They are super stiff. The only down side is that they are hard to untie. Once tied they stay that way. It takes a few minutes to untie them. If you like waxed laces and you want lace that don't move, get these.
