Warrior Alpha DX Grip Composite Hockey Stick Review

Great stick for defenseman

My 12 year old (a defenseman who enjoys taking wrist shots & slap shots whenever available) loves this stick -- it's lightweight and durable, with good snap + accuracy on his shots and passes.

Stick broke after a week of only shooting. Pure hockey did honor the warranty. Went with a different brand.

Great for a little bit everything!

I have been using a jet speed pro 2 for awhile and finally picked one of These up and won’t look back the power from that blade along with the very quick and balanced feel you can’t go wrong

Changing Companies

My son broke his Bauer/Nexus hockey stick when he was in Dallas, Texas and we could only find Pure Hockey who did not have this particular stick. The gentleman in Dallas was wonderful explaining how the Warrior stick was just as good and Andrew reluctantly used the stick. Now, the Warrior is the only stick he will use. Not this time; I went in and within minutes I walked out with a new stick. I did not even need to find the receipt. Thank you. We will be purchasing the Warrior from now on.

Unquestionably The Best

This stick is without a question of a doubt the best stick I've used of late and I've used a lot. I played Junior and University and now play in the UK, Lso am familiar with most sticks. Coming from a CCM Ribcor Trigger 3D and Jetspeed FT1, the Warrior Alpha DX blows them out of the water. Puck feel is incredible and very responsive, somewhat similar to the Trigger. The feeling… read more is soft and responsive but comes off much much hotter with shots, so also similar to what you'd expect with a stiff blade, truly just what I want in a blade for puck feel and stick handling. Truly a great blade Warrior has, it's drastically better than the Jetspeed, which for me was a major flaw with the Jetspeed. As far as power goes, there's noticeably more. Far more. And equally a quick response, I don't notice a difference to the Trigger and again, much faster than the Jetspeed. Acccuracy is also pinpoint, it's better than both CCM's, hitting my targets far more frequently. I've only had 1 pre-season game with this and managed a hatrick (deflection, outright bar down wrister, and a slapshot bottom corner) and an assist. Needless to say, the stick works and works very well, but I can't speak to it's durability yet. In all, I'm so overly impressed with this stick, it's surpassed every expectation I've had. Saying all this, I was a big fan of the Trigger but I'll never go back as long as Warrior keeps making the Alpha line. It's that much better, you seriously will not regret getting this weapon.

Overall I like the stick

Unbelievable shot release I've never ripped such a hard snap shot, only complaint is the stick handling I find it hard to feel the puck on the blade hopefully I'll get use to it it's only been a month.

Awesome twig!

Fantastic stick! Super light stick with exceptional balance and feel. Great for quick wristers and big powerful slapshots. Truly a great all around stick.
