12y uses at peewee level, great value and comfort. Blades and holder are good, has decent stiff uppers at his level. The loung is ok for the price.
Good value for a youth player
This helmet is just fine for kids at the mite/squirt level. It provides plenty of protection and the size can be easily adjusted. Until checking starts kids will find this helmet does the job just fine.
Outstanding Helmet
Our player has complained that the other helmets we have bought hurt to wear. We decided to try this style of helmet with the newer style padding and it has been "AWESOME" in his words. No pain at all on his head and is able to just go play with the ability to adjust to his head and adjust the cage it has been exactly what we were looking for to protect his head and yet be comfortable for him to wear.
Great gloves
Great gloves for the price they are a little stiff out of the box, but a great glove for recreation, or a weekend league.
Great bag - huge and sturdy
Love this bag, it’s hard to find a bag with enough room especially with wheels. Seems sturdy so far, the wheel bags tend to rip where they rub on the ground but this was has extra material in that spot.
Solidly built and comfortable
TLDR; Worn in over a dozen games. It has been extremely comfortable and is well made. A little pricey for what it is, but really happy I made the purchase. Solid pair of compression shorts with jock. Jock is comfortable and the compression pants on the ice is very comfortable. I have a little bit of a gut and the waist band does roll a little bit during play, but even when this happens I don't notice (no pinching - only find it rolled a bit after I get off the ice). To speed up getting on the ice, I actually my compression jock on under my jeans before heading out to the rink. Comfortable the entire time in transit and during the game. Would recommend. Only downside, it is a little pricey for what it is however but the build quality and comfort definitely out weighs the price. Based on past performance, I can see this lasting for at least a couple seasons.
Just what I was looking for, albiet, sizing runs big.
Comfy, runs long in leg and big in waist. Knew this from other reviews, but the sizing is about 1 size smaller than you are used to. Nice and warm for the indoor rink, skeptical for the outdoor, but a base layer underneath should help there.
Not terrible, not great
These blades are not the worst, but they are not as great as they make them sound either. They are very lightweight which is nice, but it is not noticeable enough of a benefit to outweigh the cons in my opinion. They need to be taller blades so you don't bottom out. Also, the lightweight aluminum feels more cheap than high quality, I'd rather have something that feels more solid even if it means a little more weight. I wouldn't buy these blades again, I'd rather go with the taller and more high end LS blades in the future.
Best Value Butt End
This butt end fit most consistently between Bauer, True, and CCM sticks. I generally have to add tape on a looser fit but this one was snug enough not to with a Bauer Nexus 2N Pro stick. This is a plain old carbon end like all the others but I feel like it should be a little cheaper
