Not what you might expect...

While this helmet provides excellent protection, the fit is all together different than any and all of the previous helmets from Bauer. And not in a good way, respectively. For those who bought the 9500 and regretted it, the reasons why were addressed with the 9900 in short order, meaning a helmet that fit a fairly wide array of head shapes. And easily adjusted to do so...my guess would be that this will see a quick follow up in the line to address the awkward fit. I own the 9900 but wanted something with more secure padding, the adhesive is breaking down from sweat. The helmet that most addressed this while keeping to a more universal fit, and agreed upon by those with me while trying them on was the reebok 11k. Bummer.... I really like the 9900 and was looking forward to the new kid on the block.
