A&R Hockey Spit Shield Defogger Review

Almost perfect but not quite

Since I have to wear glasses, I needed something to stop the fog. I play in an area that's pretty warm and humid most of the time. Sometimes I have to apply an extra coat and there's usually a film on my glasses after cleaning away the excess. But my glasses rarely fog up now.

Pure Hockey did their part

Pure Hockey did their part. Hockey Spit didn't work as stated. Followed the directions and all had fog on my visit. I will add that this was a full face mask and are prone to these issues. Trade the face mask to one of my teammates for his cage.

Good stuff, works good on my shield, use it all the time.

Works well

Helps prevent moisture from accumulating on shield. Four stars because you have to apply it frequently. Will last one session for sure.

Don’t use the provided towel.

The spray itself seems to work well, but do not use the provided microfiber towelette. It is of poor quality and leaves a ton of lint on your face shield.

Cuts down the fog for a bit

Still get condensation and the fog comes back mid way through the game, even adding extra sprays. Not the greatest.

A&R spit

It doesn’t taste like real spit but seems to work. I was hoping it would taste like when Amy and Rachel would spit on me for $2 in junior high but I guess I can still keep dreaming about the glory days.

No fog

Works great on the Bauer bubble with COVID insert.

Not that great.

I picked this up to help with face shield fog, but honestly it didn't do all that well. The included cloth left a ton of fuzz on the visor, so use a microfiber that's been washed. But....even though it 'smoothed out' the fog, it didn't prevent it from forming.

Hockey Spit not so great

Decided to give this a try and unfortunately it's not that great, we have tried using it for a couple weeks but my sons helmet still fogs up. RUINED MY BAUER CONCEPT III

I used this according to the directions on my brand new bauer concept III, left a foggy haze with a million tiny fibers from the shammy that was included. Continued to try and buff it out and made it worse. I put some water on it to try and wipe it off and now my brand new face shield is scratched up and ruined. DO NOT BUY THIS GARBAGE!!

This stuff seems to work as well or better than any and better than recent purchases of defoggers. Liked getting the cloth with it.

Good product

This stuff makes wearing a bubble 10x better. The bubbles are supposed to be anti fog to begin with but we all know it doesn't do a very good job of that. Put some of this stuff on and your problem is solved. Super easy to put on and it only takes a few minutes. I normally reapply every couple of games.
