I love Pure Hockey. I shop and get skates sharpend at Troy & Novi Michigan. I bought a chin strap which is a basic item that is hard to screw up. I appreciate the request to make sure I was satisfied with my purchase.
Every helmet needs a chin strap
The chin strap is long enough to fit any helmet. The clasp fits well. I hope the clasp will prove long lasting, but it is hard to tell after only a few uses.
Good strap, weak hardware.
The snap part broke off on the second or third time unsnapping the strap. Swapped the hardware out, and it's good. the strap itself is okay, just the hardware is weak.

Replacement chin strap
Worked perfectly as a replacement when the rivet on my original chin strap rusted through and broke apart. Easy to replace and adjust!
Chin strap on time
I called, it was in stock, they held it for me, I picked up in 20 min and all is good.
Defective
button fell right off. not welded together, looks like glue and it does not hold
Failed after 4 uses
My son has a CCM helmet. I was not able to find the spare parts I needed on the CCM site, so I just went to Pure Hockey to get this kit. I put it on and within 4 practices the button pulled right out of the strap. The strap is still fine but the button pulled right out. I have ordered new rivet style buttons to pop into the strap. We'll see if the fix for the fix works...?

We arrived at the rink and of course my daughter says, "i forgot to tell you, my chin strap broke!" I dropped her off and raced to PH. Not only did they have the chin strap, but they took the time to replace the broken one on the helmet! I was back at the rink before my daughter had her skates on! Good Replacement Chin Strap
Bought this to replace an old strap that was beyond its life. Nothing extraordinary, just a good replacement. Strap is very long and is expected to be trimmed based on your preference.
Disappointed!
Bought as a replacement on my son's helmet... and again 2 weeks later when it broke again. SAME night, after one practice, broken again! Extremely frustrating and inconvenient!
Strap easily breaks
I used this new strap maybe three times and it’s already broken. I just bought it less than a month ago.

Decent chin strap
Decent chin strap. Still don't understand why the snaps are metal though, it just rusts out in a few months.

10.5 + 6.5 = Comfort
Until now, I thought replacement chinstraps would be the same length as originals. Nope! I have two Bauer helmets 7500 & 9500, both Large. Excellent, however you must use both parts of the chin strap as the strap button diameter won’t mate with a Bauer receiver...
Very long strap and the snap is really snug!
The A&R Sling Style Chin Strap fits amazing on my Bauer 4500, the strap was incredibly long, I had to cut almost a foot of it off. This does come with the snap loop as well as the strap itself. Just put it on over the ear loops and you're good to go! Will easily fit all heads! Make sure you have a good pair of scissors!
