Good mobility after removing extra inner thigh pad

Size Note: I'm a bit closer to the Medium size measurements, and got a small after having oversized-for-me (Vaughn Velocity Sr - Large) pants previously. Small is a VERY snug fit for my 5'7 190 build and I should have gone medium. Overall they feel like a high-mobility pant coming from my old oversized Velocity pant. They sit well with my Reebok Chest (circa 2012) and Warrior… read more G3 leg pads / knee guards, and I don't feel them in my way when hugging the post, recovering from butterfly or sliding/closing up. The bottom of the legs tend to push apart a bit (this is notable even in the stock photos), but removing the extra velcroed-in padding (about 1.5" thick) here has helped me close them better in butterfly. I have yet to feel a shot off the sewn-in padding that remains, so I can't say how big a trade-off that is yet. Overall very satisfied and expect these to open up a bit more as I shed some pandemic pounds, but if you're a 34+ waist, don't hedge and go medium. They run large

Good pants but they ran a little large so we couldn't find the perfect fit.
