Ice review

Works great for passing & stickhandling. Not so much for skating.

A bit of a mess but fantastic!

Great for an inexpensive synthetic ice! My goalie certainly ends up covered in shavings, but with a little dedicated clean up after practice we’re good to go. He loves them. Bought two boxes to make a crease.

Not much glide and plastic shavings everywhere

Purchased these tiles hoping to practice skating in the garage. Barely any glide and stopping is not like real ice at all. The worst part is the plastic shavings that get all over and stick to everything. I spent more time cleaning up than skating after the one session I tried these for. Not sure how this product can even be on the market.

Great alternative to ice

Bought this for my 10 year old so he could be in skates instead of using a shooting board all the time. He loves it. Obviously a little more drag than ice but much better than the cheap synthetic ice alternative he’s skated on before. Only downfall is the price. It would take thousands of dollars to get even a remotely decent size skating area. I give it 5 stars because of product read more performance. I’m not here to review the price.

Simulated hockey tiles

My 07 loves the tiles. Uses them daily to practice shots.

We give this an excellent rating

These tiles are amazing!!! Our kids love them and use them everyday!!

Great ice!

We bought them for our granddaughter to practice her shooting. She loves them. She has a total of 30 tiles now.

My son loves them. the only problem is he wants more.

Nice and expensive

The product is good. Use them for stickhandling drills in the house. Eventually we'll get enough to make a mini rink outside. That said, only 10 to box limits the use and the price is kind of high

Not for skating

Bought one pack to try: nope, you can't skate on these. After 5 minutes of light use, there were nicks and cuts in the tiles. My son said "now we need a zamboni". These are decent for passing and stick-handling drills, but you can't skate on plastic.

They are as advertised

Look at the end of the day the only thing that can replicate ice is ice.... IMO this is a great product it does exactly what I expected it to do. The puck slides well enough and skating is slow but you can skate. The annoying thing is is the plastic shavings but I have recommended the product to all the parents on my son's team.

Making my kids excellent shooters

Puck moves great on this material. Good for shooting and stick handling.

Save your money

Too expensive for a small amount of tile space. I returned them.

Good but need a lot to make it worth it.

Buy for what you intend to use it for. You can get away with one or two boxes if you're using it as a shooting pad but 10-15 boxes are needed for a decent skating experience. I have 5 boxes and can do a decent amount of foot work on my skates at least.

Similar feel than in ice

Perfect! Bought one box just to try it out. With these tule I get a similar feel as on the ice when stick handling. Buying 3 more boxes next week to make the area bigger.

I wish I had bought these sooner! Very easy to glide forward and use your edges.

Skates dug in

My 12 year is not able to skate on these. Skates dug right into them.

Nice product. Shipped and received quickly. Very expensive. You don’t get a lot of product for your money.

Skate at home!

These are great for training and good for skating. They are perfect when the rink is closed and I want to skate

Super high quality, very easy to install, wicked fun!

Hockey shot tiles

Love them. We have 3 packs now, so it’s a good size area for shooting in skates.

Defective tiles

Purchased 4 boxes for Christmas present. Assembled tiles and used for about 3 hours. While cleaning tiles I noticed several were peeling. It appeared that 1 box was defective as 6 of 10 tiles had the issue. Took several weeks to resolve issue.

It’s a great product. My kid loves them. Customer service in the store is horrible but other than that everything else was great.

Not Worth the Money and Extra Skate Sharpening

I had been wanting these tiles since they first came out. When I got a 10-pack for Christmas, I was so excited but then became disappointed after one use. You really can't do much in terms of skating practice with the 10-pack alone. It's just not enough space. At first, I was considering buying more boxes, but then there is also the issue of dulling your skates. One video I watched read more recommended sharpening them after 1 hour on the tiles. I found my skates were really dully after just 20 minutes. If you really want to use these, then I recommend buying multiple boxes and also a home sharpener, but that can get really pricey. Ultimately, I decided that just going back to using my Bauer inline skates is the most cost-effective way to practice at home.

Spent about $2k on these, shouldn’t have

I have a 20’x20’ area filled with HockeyShot Revolution skateable tiles in my garage. Completely stopped even trying to skate on them because it just feels like you’re using your skates on plastic, really really not like ice at all. Plus the amount of shavings it leaves creates a huge mess whenever you want to practice. Then you need a Sparx to sharpen after 20 mins ... just read more wasn’t worth it. They’re great for practicing shooting, passing, and stickhandling, but skating not so much.

Seamless Ice

Seamless as long as it’s on a flat surface. Snaps together so you don’t have to worry much about it coming apart.

The product is great and my kids are continuing to use it instead of the video games. My sons shot has improved In such a short time. Being on skates simulates the same effects and balance as being on the real ice. Two thumbs up! Mike H

Awesome!

I bought these for my two Great Grandson’s who live in Utah. The oldest of the two wants to be an NHL Goalie and loves to practice.

Don't recommend

Bought a box to try out. Planning on laying the entire basement floor with synthetic ice. This stuff is not worth the money. Puck does not react naturally at all. Even a green biscuit didn't track well. Puck would roll over constantly. Very difficult to skate on. I know it's not ice, but this stuff was not even close to it. I am looking into other manufacturers.

Don't go as far as you think

They work great! .....but when I got them down, I realized we really needed twice as many tiles to be able to use effectively.

Great Training, Prepare for a mess

So far, we have skated, stick handled and shot from our Synthetic Ice tiles about a dozen times. My son and I are goalies. The surface, for sliding, is great for building strength in the push. The surface, I would equate to the ice at the end of about 45 min of practice...you can slide, but there is a decent amount of resistance. With the skates, we have produced a significant read more amount of plastic shavings. By sliding with the goalie pads, the static produced keeps the shavings basically stuck on your equipment and clothing. My wife was not thrilled with us using them in the house! So far, we are loving the product, and should probably order more!

Worth the price

This is our second set of 10 purchased at Pure Hockey. These are great for stickhandling, shooting, and passing. We are slowly stocking up to have a little sheet for our kids. Friction isn’t the same as ice, but we have noticed a huge positive difference between these tiles with real pucks and street picks on smooth concrete.

Great fro the Backyard

These tiles are exactly as advertised. They provide a great surface for the kids to shoot from. They use real pucks on it and it slides perfectly.

Happy

Kids happy but 10 pieces too short needs to buy more

Not enough for the $$$

I'm happy with the tiles themselves. But I have now spent $700 and I still need at least double the amount of tiles for it to be worthwhile. I could have spent the $ on a summerhouse for less

Great for practicing off ice

I used these tiles at my buddy’s house and it was a really cool idea to be able to practice skating and puck handling. I wish they were cheaper though but overall really cool product in my opinion!!
