Not durable at all

Bought two of these, used for practice and then 1 game and it shattered. Completely fell apart. Won't be purchasing this again

Similar feel to on ice shooting

Son said it felt very similar to hitting a puck on ice while practicing on the driveway or on shot board.

The puck without the raised center slides well on smooth asphalt and doesn’t crack when shot whereas the one with the raised center slides better on rougher services, but cracks almost immediately when shot.

Two reviews: based on what material is used.

I've had both a great experience with this product and a sub-par one. The difference seems to be with the manufacturer using two different molds and material formulas. The great pucks have a more matte finish and do not have a raised circular surface in the center of the puck. The great pucks slide well on an old coated concrete outdoor court and have not cracked in any way after… read more repeated high-speed post impacts. The sub-par pucks are glossier with the raised circle. The material feels more brittle and indeed cracked in very short order. I do not know if Pure Hockey has any control over what they receive from the manufacturer but if you can get your hands on the better pucks I would highly recommend them for outdoor training use.

Solid product

This puck is amazing for a smooth or semi rough pavement it gives you that authentic weight and feel but if playing on rough asphalt I would go with the green biscuit but for a at home training setup this puck is perfect

Average puck

Bought this thinking it would slide on surface better then green biscuit. It doesn't but it is more stable unlike green biscuit.

A Better Green Biscuit

Very similar to the green biscuit; however these are better for the following reasons: 1. These are the exact size/shape and weight as regular pucks. The green biscuit is not as tall and has a greater radius than a real puck, and weights less than a real puck. It's a silly oversight by green biscuit because honestly I want my practice puck to be 100% identical in weight, shape/size… read more as the real thing, otherwise you won't develop the feel you need to carry and make moves with the puck while keeping your head up. 2. They are heavier duty material and can be shot. I don't know if I 100% trust they can be shot full power (I'm 6', 180 and played D1/College and still play 3 days a week high level). However just goofing around in my basement I have shot it semi-regularly without issue (but took like 50% hard snapshots up close, not unloading clapper etc). Overall takeaway these are great practice pucks, they glide better than a real puck on sport-court service and feel similar to a green biscuit outside on the street. Highly recommended!
