Good Quality, fit great
I play beer league once or twice a week and have not bought new pants in many, many years. I bought this pair because Vaughn stuff lasts a long time; my last pair was Vaughn, too, and I played over 500 games in them. I've used the new pants a few times now and had no issue moving to them straight out of the box to the ice. They do not have an inner belt, if that's important to… read more you. I am good with the lacing and conventional outer belt strap it has and I wear suspenders. The pants have the inner holes just inside the bottom knee area where you can lace knee guards in. They also have the standard 3 suspender anchor/nobs so you can attach suspenders if you want. And FWIW I am 5-11 with a 34 inch waist and Medium fits me perfectly.
Slimline pants
My son has worn Vaughn pants for the last 2 size changes. They run slim for tall thin body types.
Slim fit
My son has been wearing these pants for 5 months and likes them very much. He is 5’7” and all legs. He is also only 100 pounds and with suspenders, these pants are great for his slim form. They don’t catch on his leg pads or chest protector as some bulkier styles can.
One issue.
They fit pretty well they move pretty well and have a really good feel to them but the pads on the front hips can fold up. I did end up taking a shot right when it was folded up. I’m figuring out a solution to get it to go away.
Great fit and protection
Bought for a 12 year old goalie. She love the fit and protection.
Run a little big
Good padding. Runs a little big. Usually wear extra large but would have went down to large with these pants
Velocity V9 XFP pants
These run big so had to go a size down from the Bauer’s I had. Tons of padding in front of the pants and on the sides. Only complaint is the front hip pads sometimes pops up. Would prefer a piece of material holding them down.
