Great helmet with nice fit

I bought this helmet a while ago and it's great. Very comfortable, great fit, fits great and not too tight. a bit expansive but it's still great.

Superior protection against concussions

I am writing this review in hopes that it will help someone else in the same situation that I was in. I played competitive hockey from when I was 8 right up until I was 21. I'm a big guy at 6'3" and over 200 lbs. I played very physically and eventually quit playing hockey due to concussion issues. I initially bought a cheaper helmet/cage combo (under $100) and about 6 months in, had another concussion after colliding with another player. After healing from that, I did some research and found out about the high ratings this helmet was given due to it's ability to help prevent concussions. About a month after I bought this one, I got slew footed, fell backwards and hit my head on the ice. Surprisingly, despite expecting that this was probably the end for me playing hockey and that I would get up feeling foggy and dizzy again. I didn't feel anything. I was fine. I've played nearly 2 years with it now and had no problems whatsoever. No helmet is concussion proof, but this one is vastly superior to anything else I've tried. It actually inspired me to upgrade all of my other protective gear as well.

Poor design to the adjustment clips

Both of the little plastic pegs on the helmet that secure the size adjustment clips broke off of the helmet - was not treated roughly or abused. When I took off the clips I was amazed at just how poorly it was designed. 2 small less than 1/4" plastic pegs is all that holds the helmet adjustment.

I got a brain injrey and after that i went on here and bought this helmet and senc then i have taken muiple hit like that and have not gotten hurt senc

Great head protection

The shock absorption of this helmet is excellent. It has thick padding and was scientifically created to help prevent head injury. It is adjustable and well fitting.

Poor Fit

Bought the right size (XL) but helmet sat to high on head despite multiple adjustments. Had to return it due to poor fit. If your head shape fits it, it appears to be a great helmet. Well made and well padded.

Best helmet on the market today

A bit heavier than most but definitely not noticeable once you are skating. Highly recommended for all hockey players considering the damage that concussions cause.

Butt ugly

Imagine wearing an upside down armchair on your head...about the same weight and style...when will helmet technology improve? No MIPS, heavy and hot

Good helmet. Poor colour selection.

Very good helmet, but it only comes in white or black. Most of the people I would recommend this helmet do not use black or white. CCM must improve the availability of colours, I want to tell people about this helmet because it scored 5 stars in the Virginia Tech concussion testing, but I can’t because CCM doesn’t make their team colours.

Awesome protection!

Ok....this helmet is unique and should be stated up front it heavy compared to most helmets. it doesn't fit a feel like a hockey helmet, more like a football helmet in feel.
