You are getting really old inventory. Yes it is on clearance but to get something that is almost expired for anyone especially for a youth hockey player is not acceptable. When you call for an RMA you get their VM and the mailbox it full
HECC Certificate for only 9 months
I can understand that items go on clearance and pricing looks enticing, but Hockey Monkey states no where that when purchasing this helmet for my 8 year old daughter, that there would only be 9 months that she could where it to play hockey due to the HECC Certification expiring on 10/1/20. When customer services was called, they were no help at all and I would be charged a fee to… read more return the product. I feel that on clearance items, especially helmets with an expiration date of the safety and ability for children to use them in hockey, Hockey Monkey should state that clearly somewhere on the product detail or in the description piece as a disclaimer. I am very unhappy with Hockey Monkey with this purchase experience as I have been an avid supporter of Hockey Monkey both online and in retail stores. Negative stars on this product and customer experience with Hockey Monkey if I could give it. Will not go back to Hockey Monkey for future needs.
Almost Expired HECC Certification
Bought this for my kid and the HECC certification says its good for 11 months. It was made in 2014! There is a reason they expire. Hockey Monkey's web page say no where that this is a model from 2014.

My coach brought this helmet for my High School team. I have to say it has been my favorite helmet to wear. It's wicked comfortable and breathable. Its absolutely worth money. I feel very protected when wearing it and it looks great. I would definitely recommend this helmet to anyone looking for great helmet with awesome protection.
