CCM FV1 Full Face visor Review

Worked well for 9 months

I purchased two of these. One was used every other day and lasted 9 months. It finally cracked where it attached to the helmet. Completely garbage to me now. I can already tell the Bauer of the same is made so there is less strain when opening on the plastic.

Great visor.

Had to buy longer screws in order to fasten to helmet, but was a little thing. Shield came with cleaning cloth and spray.

I'll never go back to a cage

I love this thing. It's super light and vents really well. I dont have any fog issues unless it's late in the 3rd and you're just mouth breathing. Even then, it's nothing I'd consider a negative. Fits my face great. I'd say unless you have a massive dome you should be good to go.

Looks like a great cage for the right sized head

I bought this cage and, unfortunately had to return it since it didn't fit my head/face. I typically wear a large Bauer cage (and am between a medium and large CCM cage) and this full face shield fits just like a medium CCM cage so it was just a bit too short for my face. The quality seemed really great and it looked awesome (which is what made me try to go fishbowl for the first… read more time in my 25 year hockey career), but unfortunately no matter how I flipped the clips and played with the J clips I couldn't get it to sit low enough. For the right sized head/face this would be an amazing mask.
